Just wanted to post a small update. I went to the immunologist today to setup our standing appointments for the rest of the year. The results from my first, and second infusion were quite positive. My IgG was at 800 before the 2nd infusion, so this looks promising. We did speak at length about the prognosis of my immune system, and he is quite pleased that my IgG has risen. He does believe that it will take about 6 months to a year to reach optimal trough levels, so we will just have to monitor my progress as things go, ideally we would like to have my IgG around 1100-1200, which puts me smack dab in the middle.
We spoke about a few things. One of which is the lip pain I am constantly having where the mucoceles were surgically removed last year from my Oral Surgeon. I gave my immunologist my Oral Surgeon’s contact info so the two of them could confer, and figure out what the next step is here. My lip still hurts, this still sucks. I don’t know if its another infection starting, or if this is just my CVID playing tricks. I am waiting for the two of them to figure this out between the two of them.
Who knows.
Tomorrow I am scheduled for a full dose of Octagam 10% @ 40g/400mL. I will be getting to the infusion center and starting my infusion @ 8:15am. Hopefully I can get ramped up to the 120mL/h rate again, as the slower the rate, the longer I gotta sit. So tomorrow I am shooting for 4-5 hours of infusion. I’m all packed up, ready to go.
