4am Wakeup Call

What the actual fuck is going on? Another one….. I have a feeling this isn’t the last one.

Not a Fun Day

K. Today sucked. It’s also Aggies birthday. Which didn’t help things either. I woke up at 4am in the worst pain in my mouth and in my sinuses. The sinus part has been slowly getting worse over the past few weeks. The usual stinging burning can’t breathe feeling. I took a dilaudid and went back… Continue reading Not a Fun Day

Not Your Typical Monday

Woke up this morning at 6:30 to a crapton of pain again. This has worn out it’s welcome. 100%. As I tried to get everything under control, I started writing a list of things for Dr Lupo to discuss today. Lupo is the one who owns the ear issues. He’s the one that did the… Continue reading Not Your Typical Monday

Sleep Is Key

For probably the last year, I have no idea what that means. Since the pain began to intensify, my sleep went to absolute shit. And yes. That’s WITH Ambien. Since the dalbavancin, I’ve been able to sleep the past 3 nights unbroken with 8+ hours of sleep. They say delirium starts when you don’t sleep.… Continue reading Sleep Is Key

24 Hours Later

I woke up this morning feeling much different. My fever last night hit 101.7. Everything hurt. It’s the familiar feeling of what antibiotics (the right ones) do. Typically within 5 seconds of waking up, the agonizing pain hits reminding me it’s still there. But what’s different about today, is it was less. Much less. Typically… Continue reading 24 Hours Later

Dalbavancin

Woke up at 3am this morning to the usual pus in my mouth and in my sinuses. I’m averaging 3-4 hours tops with sleep. That’s with Ambien too. I’m just a walking husk at this point. I got a pair of bone conduction headphones for when I can’t sleep and I watch TV. That way… Continue reading Dalbavancin

Pre-Surgical Jitters

Tomorrow is the day. The day I’ve tried avoiding since 2020. If you haven’t been following closely, or if it’s been awhile I’ll catch you up. In 2020 my veins started calling it quits, and as we all know, COVID came. I switched to SCIG. What I thought would be better for me. Turns out… Continue reading Pre-Surgical Jitters

CT Results

IMPRESSION: 1. A left wall up mastoidectomy has been performed. There is fluid and/or soft tissue thickening in the mastoid resection bed. This may be seen with chronic otitis media. This could be seen with a cholesteatoma. The bone over the tegmen mastoideum is thin and may be dehiscent. This is a new finding. 2.… Continue reading CT Results

Ketamine and Surgery

Just got off of the intake call for ketamine and pending pain managements approval, I can start ASAP. Port will be placed on Monday, and IVIG starts Tuesday. Fucking finally making progress. I’ve felt stuck for the past 2 weeks but hopefully this gets the ball rolling for a healthier/better me.
