Not a Fun Day

K. Today sucked. It’s also Aggies birthday. Which didn’t help things either.

I woke up at 4am in the worst pain in my mouth and in my sinuses. The sinus part has been slowly getting worse over the past few weeks. The usual stinging burning can’t breathe feeling. I took a dilaudid and went back to bed.

Cats took my spot in the bed so I had to lay down around them so I wouldn’t crush them getting into bed. I fell back asleep.

6:30 came quick. I woke up to the two cats running around the room. After getting ran over 4 times, I guess it’s just time to get up. The minute I sat up though, holy shit did that hurt. I could feel something up in my sinuses. I tried blowing it out but only a few spots of pus came out.

After coffee, I placed the Tobradex drops in my ear/eyes and laid on the couch for 10 minutes. The drops help, but man do they hurt.

As I got up from the couch, that same weird feeling started to push on the bridge of my nose, and my mouth is starting to hurt more. Maybe it’s related, no idea.

As the day went on, the pain just continues to get worse. I went into the bathroom to grab all my sinus irrigation stuff needed to do one. As I started heat/clean the bottle, I started blowing my nose in hopes of getting something outta there, but same thing. Justa few spots of pus came out. But now the pain is much worse. There’s definitely something going on up in my sinuses.

After mixing in the saline packets and antibiotics into my bottle, I headed into the bathroom to start. 1 squeeze in (more force than usual), I could feel something up there. I did awkward positioning to try and take different angles to get the stuff all the way up to the frontal sinus. And bingo. There’s the weird feeling again.

After finishing the first round, I was contemplating doing a second. As the rinse was emptying out I felt something move. A few blows later and out comes a quarter sized cyst. It was really big, but now the pain is through the roof, but the pressure I was feeling was gone. I’ll take that trade. Probably the biggest thing I’ve seen come out of there in a long time.

It was time again for more drops, so I headed to the couch to put them in, but this time it felt different. Maybe they are helping unclog whatever is going on up in my head. Who knows at this point. It was also time for another dilaudid so I took one, definitely gonna need it after removing that rock out of my face.

Rest of the day sucked. I was in a lot of pain the rest of the day. I took Aggie for Birthday sushi. I just wanted to go to bed. It’s hard to put up a cheery attitude when you went through something like what happened to me today.

Time to go to bed. I just want to sleep.
