After the fiasco this morning, our HR group did not waste any time. I had a message by noon that the issue was fixed, but still unknown when I’ll get paid. I logged into Sedgwick’s site, and without hesitation, they fixed all the dates, and automatically approved my paperwork.
I feel like this entire day was wasted and unwarranted. That panic attack was something else.
In other news, apparently Parc is sending us a check. That which I’ll need to review carefully so that they don’t put any language in an accompanying letter saying that if we cash the check we release them.
I wouldn’t put it past them to try that. So I guess we will see what we get …
If Parc doesn’t pull any funny business, the legal aspect of all of this will transition to his partner Anna who will start the personal injury side of things.
I did do some investigating, and Anthem does have a subrogation clause in the policy. This means if a 3rd part is held responsible for damages, I have to reimburse them. So most likely we won’t go for that, and let Anthem go get their money back.
I don’t want to be involved in any part of that.
I did get the labs done this morning and I’m just waiting on the results. I’m sure the vancomycin trough will be fine, but the WBC/CRP/ESR part will probably continue to climb.
