Wow. All I can say is wow. To my surprise, today I found out that the metal that was lodged into my jaw was infact a 5mm piece of drill bit left by the best periodontist in the world.
I cannot fucking BELIEVE the amount of negligence that has gone on for so long. I mean I have gone through hell, this fuck decides to leave the 1 thing I’m allergic to in my jaw. Almost every single drill bit made for dental stuff contains cobalt. I mean. The one thing he knew going into the surgery is to how allergic I am to metal. It’s beyond me why he didn’t X-ray me after the surgery, or X-ray me at follow up. This misery could have been avoided all together.
There it is. You’d think that you would notice 5mm worth of drill it missing from your drill if you were a good doctor. All this tells me is how negligent one could be. You’d think that you make sure that isn’t in my jaw.
Anger and frustration has been the theme with a cherry on the top of having 2 people deflect and try to make this “not a big deal”.
I am hopeful this closes the chapter of ER visits. Doctors (outside my immunologist). I’m exhausted. I’ve lost a year of my life to this.
Tomorrow is a new day.
