An unintended side effect of the heart attack is I’ve been losing weight without trying. At most I can can only consume about 1200 calories a day with the barrier of 1500mg of sodium per day.
I’m still trying to figure out the nutritional aspect of this, I know it’s a work in progress. I welcome the weight loss, but I need to make sure I’m getting everything I need daily. Just need to find that balance.
As for the fevers, they still come and go. Last night it peaked up again. I’d really love to know what’s causing it. My face does continue to hurt. My mouth still feels raw. I stopped taking Tylenol last Thursday, but when the fevers started hitting me again, I had no choice but to start taking it again.
Last night the night sweats started around 7:30pm, then took my temp from both temporal sides, it’s quite clear there is still some process happening. Keep in mind, my normal temp should be 97.6F. But I can absolutely tell you, when I hit 100.5, it feels like 103F. The body aches hit me around 8:45pm last night, so in the morning I’m taking 1 500mg Tylenol and 30mL of Coricidin HBP (has 625mg of Tylenol), and at night. Throughout the day I take 500mg of Tylenol every 5/6 hours. The important part is to not exceed 4000mg per day, which I’m not even close to.
It’s one of the main reasons I keep waking up at night. It’s just a miserable feeling 🙁 so I have to supplement this with naps. I just hope this isn’t permanent. I don’t like the new normal I’ve been facing since the heart attack.
I would just love to feel normal for once. No body aches. No fevers. No facial pain. No sinus pain. Normal bloodwork. Sleep an entire night without waking up. No more constant exhaustion.
I know this has been a journey, but I would love to get off this rollercoaster, and stay off. It’s wishful thinking, but I guess I just need to keep driving infectious disease and ENT for a permanent resolution.
To top it all off, I was walking over to fill up the water bowl for the kids, and I smacked my right big toe (or as Anies would call it “foot thumb”). It hurt really bad. After filling up their bowl, I walked back to the kitchen, and noticed I was bleeding really bad. Being on blood thinners isn’t a good thing. It’s been bleeding for at least an hour. I haven’t looked yet, but I may have cracked the nail, which is even worse 🙁
Today sucks. I just need to get this under control by 2/1, because with the addition of physically going into work, is just going to make this that much harder.
