Chronic Mucocutaneous Candidiasis

For as long as I can remember back my face has felt weird. As 2009 came, the acne came back. Hard. In a pretty severe way too. For years I went to the dermatologist to try removing the cysts. Pop them. Drain them. Fuck I even did a sting of Accutane which did nothing. This all became one big giant glowing mystery.

The pus that would come out of my face hurt. It burned. It also smelled really fucking bad. As the years went by my mouth started to be affected as well. Silently we all know what’s really going on. I would have to say that by 2010 whatever was left of my immune system gave up by 2012. This all gradually just gave up. No doctor at this point was able to tell me what was wrong, or what the root cause is to the acne, the oral infection and importantly, I keep getting fucking sick.

As I look backwards the warning signs were all ignored. I really wish that doctors would spend 5 fucking minutes talking to me like a human instead of me Dr you patient. At this point, my knowledge of health related things have increased significantly due to having to get involved. Researching. Figuring out what this is, or what that means.

I’ll be honest. The past 5 weeks has been…. A fucking nightmare that continually has gotten worse till today. After starting the antifungal therapy (if you even wanna call it that), my body went into immediate war mode. I could feel my familiar friend nausea meet me almost immediately. Right after getting the rotten bone whatever out of my jaw it was almost as if something was awoken.

As the anathesia stared to wear off to the point where I had sort of an idea of where I was and where I am at. Just in the car headed back home. Standing in line to pickup meds which was in/out real quick. And home we went. Took my meds as I walked into the living from and went 100% into cocoon mode on the couch. Pain is coming. Might as well show up soon. Because just like that, the pain hit. Constant jaw pain. In my neck. Fuck you could just send one … tomorrow.
