Left Ear

Left Ear is super painful. Started 2 weeks ago. Before that? 2 months ago same thing, went away, but told myself to go to Dr. Lupo IF it happens again. Everyone sounds like a robot. My lows are gone and it hurts, my mids are “ok”, however, the highs squeal and everyone sounds like EVE from Wall-E.

As we walked out to go to lunch, I almost ate it when I clipped a chair. I started to notice that I keep going left.

At lunch, I ended up sticking my AirPods in for protection at this point.  The “busy” conversation of the place was literal daggers to my ear.  Every word hurt.

If medication helps, then infection is probably what’s going on. The infection is triggering the migraines where everyone is a robot. Tapping on the x2 surgery spot sends me to the floor.

Interesting piece is the pressure drops that have been happening the past 2 weeks, I feel every single rapid waterslide down changes in the barometric pressure here.

We are absolutely playing it safe w/ an MRI to ensure “nuclear” option does not need to be done, don’t want that.

I go back in 2-3 weeks to see what we do. I am highly aware now that I don’t have the ability to “find” anything infection-wise because CVID really sucks.  I have a literal pharmacy in my bathroom.  But I also have to be hyper alert that “something” doesn’t feel right.

Hopefully with the Steroids, ear drops, Antibiotics, and Immitrex this gets better.

If the MRI is clear and nothing can be visualized outside of my brain just being completely gone, the dark spaces of the human head should be just that. I learned this lesson the hard way, that it’s not supposed to be there. The next step would be to seasonally go on Steroids + Migraine medications so that when “Spring” arrives, I’m not  on the floor.

I don’t have a mastoid bone to protect my middle ear from concussive sounds. That’s the part that hurts the most.
